Livingstone College
United Negro College Fund
Since its inception in 1944, the United Negro College Fund and Livingstone College, a charter member, have partnered to help provide an educational opportunity to talented and deserving men and women who desire a chance at obtaining a college degree.
The United Negro College Fund helps to provide critical unrestricted dollars needed for operational support – which helps to keep the cost of tuition at a lower cost to students, while providing scholarships and internships, technology enhancement, and faculty and administrative professional training.
Your gift to the United Negro College Fund campaign at Livingstone College is a major investment in the life and future of the students who walk “beneath thy maples and thy oaks.” The funds afford an opportunity and the hope that the education received will allow them to compete in this global society and become more productive citizens.
Over 98 percent of our students come from low-to-moderate income families and they need some form of financial assistance. Many are the first in the family to ever attend college – an opportunity gained through your giving. Their dream of becoming tomorrow’s teachers, lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs and leaders are fulfilled because of caring and supporting individuals like you.
Yes, your gift is an investment! For every dollar that you give to the Livingstone College United Negro College Fund campaign, the college receives a return from the United Negro College Fund.
Giving is reciprocal. We ask that you take a bold step and assist in giving an educational gift of a lifetime to a student who otherwise may not have the chance to obtain or complete a college education. So make a difference by giving your gift today. Remember, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.”
