Our Mission
The primary mission of the Livingstone College Reading Center is to diagnose and enhance student reading rate and comprehension, and develop knowledge of content area vocabulary using ACCUCESS, PLAYO, and Nelson-Denny reading tests and tutorials. The Livingstone College Reading Center began as a SACSCOC Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) initiative, but continues as an academic support service.
OUR VISION
The vision of the Reading Center is to extend in-class learning by providing workshops and individualized tutorials that meet the needs of all students at Livingstone College in a holistic environment that fosters increased academic performance, improved persistence and retention.
