The mission of the Division of Liberal Arts is to empower students to become global leaders in scholarship, research, performing arts, and service to humanity. The Division is committed to producing graduates who are critical thinkers in pursuit of truth, beauty, spirituality, social justice, human expression, creativity, integrity, and honesty. Students are prepared to be competitive candidates in graduate and professional schools, to excel in their chosen careers, and to provide diverse community leadership skills based upon humanistic values.
Faculty members in the Division are committed to broadening their own exploration, professional experiences, creativity, methods of teaching, diversity in modes of evaluation, research, and scholarship.
The Division of Liberal Arts offers Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree programs in the following areas:
• Criminal Justice
• English Liberal Arts
• Music Liberal Arts
• Political Science
• Religious Studies
• Theater Arts
• Music Teacher Education (K-12)
Minors are also available in English, History, Sociology, and Theater Arts.
Courses are also offered in Art, Philosophy, and Spanish to meet the General Education requirements.
